The Al-Hadath Mobile App

What the app collects when you register for a conference

• Your name, phone number, e-mail and the other fields of the conference form
• A photo taken with the front camera, used at the entrance gate and on your conference badge
• A picture or PDF of your transfer receipt when you pay the fee, used only to confirm the payment

Photo check

The face check on your photo runs on your own phone; the photo is not sent to any third party for it. The final photo is sent to our servers only with your registration. Full details are in the "Face Data and Your Registration Photo" section.

Stored on your phone

The app keeps your registration links and a copy of your tickets so they work offline. You can remove them from "My tickets" at any time.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, we use a Firebase notification token only to send event news.

Deleting your data

To have your registration data and photo deleted, contact info@alhadathevents.com or WhatsApp +9647833445511; we act within 30 days unless the law requires us to keep a payment record.

This policy also covers the "Al-Hadath" app for iOS and Android. The app requires no account, shows no ads and does not track you across other apps or websites.

Face Data and Your Registration Photo

What we collect

We collect only one photo of your face (a 600×800 JPEG image) that you take with the front camera when you register. We do not collect, create or store any face geometry, facial measurements, faceprints, biometric templates, Face ID data or any other biometric identifiers.

On-device face check only

Before the photo is accepted, the app uses Apple's on-device Vision framework (and the built-in Android face detector) only to check that exactly one face is visible and centred, the head is straight, and the lighting and sharpness are good. This check runs entirely on your phone; the face position it detects is discarded immediately and is never stored or sent to us or anyone else. With the photo we receive only simple quality indicators (the number of faces detected, a confidence score, and sharpness and brightness values) so our staff know the photo passed the check; these are not facial measurements.

How we use the photo

We use the photo only to identify you at the conference you registered for: it is printed on your conference badge and shown to Al-Hadath staff at the entrance gate so they can visually confirm that the ticket holder is you. We do not use the photo for automated face recognition, advertising, analytics or any other purpose.

Sharing

We do not share or sell your photo to any third party, and we do not send it to advertising or analytics partners.

Where it is stored

The photo is sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and stored on Al-Hadath's own server for alhadathevents.com, at a random, unguessable address, and is shown only on your ticket and in Al-Hadath staff tools.

Retention and deletion

The photo is deleted automatically 30 days after the conference you registered for ends. You can ask us to delete it earlier at any time via info@alhadathevents.com or WhatsApp +9647833445511, and we delete it within 7 days.

Retention of Your Data

The Company will retain your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy.

Your Right to Delete Your Data

You have the right to delete or request that we assist in deleting the personal data we have collected about you. You may update or delete your information at any time by signing in to your account.

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track activity on our service and store certain information.

Children's Privacy

Our service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13.
